**2. Small Text: "A Walk in the City"**

**English:**

Yesterday, I went for a walk in the city. I started at the train station and walked to the park. The park is near the library, and there is a beautiful fountain in the middle of it. I sat on a bench under a big tree and watched the birds flying above me. After relaxing for a while, I walked to the café next to the museum. I ordered a cup of coffee and sat at a table by the window. From there, I could see the bus stop in front of the store. It was a lovely afternoon!

 **3. Practice Questions**

1. Where did the author start their walk? (Mistä kirjoittaja aloitti kävelynsä?)

2. What is in the middle of the park? (Mikä on puiston keskellä?)

3. Where did the author sit in the café? (Missä kirjoittaja istui kahvilassa?)

**5. Key Notes on Finnish Prepositions**

- Finnish prepositions often involve **cases** (e.g., inessive, adessive, allative). The endings change based on the word they are attached to.

  - Example: "In the house" = **talossa** (talo + -ssa).

- Some prepositions are standalone words (e.g., **alla** = under, **vieressä** = next to).

- Pay attention to vowel harmony when adding case endings (e.g., **-ssa** vs. **-ssä**).
